Lucy Edwards is a blind broadcaster, journalist, content creator, & disability activist and is an absolute force to be reckoned with. After loosing her full eye sight at 17, Lucy had no one to look up to that was going through the same thing, and made it her mission to share her experiences with the world. Through her infectious personality and her open commentary on life Lucy has amassed an incredible 1.8M followers on TikTok, 710K subscribers with over 350 million views on YouTube, and 186,000 followers on Instagram.

As both a Broadcaster and Journalist Lucy has presented reports for the BBC on TV & radio and in 2019 she became the first-ever blind presenter to host on BBC Radio 1. Lucy has been a guest on both This Morning and Loose Women and earlier this year her 2 part BBC documentary ‘How Does A Blind Girl Go On Safari?’ took the awards ceremonies by storm, winning an RTS Award. No stranger to the celebrity world Lucy has also interviewed the likes of Ryan Gosling and Regé Jean Page on the red carpet and was the first female blind talent to walk the red carpet of the BRIT Awards 2022.

During her previous ambassadorship as the face of Pantene, Lucy she consulted closely with the team to ensure the packaging was accessible and the product is the first to feature the trailblazing technology Navilens. It doesn’t stop there, Lucy has also partnered with more of the world’s leading brands including Google, Estée Lauder, Spotify & L’oreal and has positioned herself as a leading voice for disability inclusion.

As a keynote speaker Lucy has lead talks with world leading brands around disability inclusion, universal design, strategy and resilience, and last year was invited by Forbes Magazine to speak at the Brilliant Minds event in Stockholm and spoke alongside Naomi Campbell, Malala, and Alicia Keys.

Most recently, Lucy has announced the launch of her debut bookBlind Not Broken‘ – a journey from sight loss to becoming a thriving business woman. We cannot wait to get our hands on a copy!

As one of Lucy’s favourite sayings goes ‘Nothing about us, without us’, and as she continues to pave the way for change, Lucy has positioned herself as a key figure in both digital, broadcast and print media.
